These shirts have the designs sublimated directly on moisture wicking athletic material. So the material breathes throughout the design. Extremely lightweight & ideal for training.

Aero Coolfit:
Extremely lightweight, and significantly better ventilation. Ideal when also wearing a fencing jacket.
A Medium shirt weighed 220 grams
DotKnit
A bit more robust material. Ideal for more general purpose use. A little bit softer on the skin.

For maximum longevity:
Machine wash inside-out with cold water on gentle.
Handwash is even better. A good trick is to go in the shower with it on, give it a good rinse and then throw it in a bowl with some suds to soak & agitate by hand.
Hang dry, avoid use of a dryer.
To test these we have thrown them in the dryer repeatedly and they are still fine. But, hanging dry is still best practice.
Avoid interaction with velcro
